Senior Manager - Taxation Services

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager for our Taxation Services department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a portfolio of key local and international client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to senior management, shareholders and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic and commercially focused advice on complex Cyprus and international tax matters, including business restructurings, transactions, investments, cross-border activities and tax planning.
  • Lead significant tax advisory engagements and provide direction on complex and high-value client assignments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and pursuing opportunities to broaden the firm's relationship and service offering.
  • Drive business development and revenue growth, including originating opportunities, developing proposals, leading pitches and converting prospects into clients.
  • Contribute to the financial performance of the Tax practice through effective management of client portfolios, pricing, billing and profitability.
  • Lead, manage and develop the Tax team, including Managers and senior professionals, with responsibility for performance, coaching, succession, retention and professional development.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Managers and senior team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
  • Work closely with the Partners on the strategic development and growth of the Tax practice, including market opportunities, service development, client strategy and resource planning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Audit, Deals, Accounting and other service lines, as well as international network firms, to identify and deliver multidisciplinary and cross-border opportunities.
  • Provide technical leadership on significant tax matters and ensure that the highest standards of quality, risk management and professional conduct are maintained.
  • Lead or oversee significant tax disputes, enquiries and negotiations with the Cyprus Tax Department and other relevant authorities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of developments in Cyprus, EU and international taxation and assess their implications for clients and the Tax practice.
  • Represent the Firm externally through client events, professional forums, industry initiatives and other market-facing activities, contributing to the Firm's reputation and market presence.
 
Candidate Profile  
  • Significant senior-level experience in tax, preferably gained within a Big Four or leading professional services firm
  • Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of Cyprus taxation, with strong experience in corporate and/or international tax.
  • Proven track record in managing senior client relationships and developing new business.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading, managing and developing professional teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the professional services environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to operate confidently with senior executives, shareholders and other key decision-makers.
  • Excellent command of English; knowledge of Greek will be considered an advantage.
