Athos currently serves as a Partner at Nexia Poyiadjis, specializing in Audit & Assurance and Advisory Services. He holds a BA in Accountancy, Finance, and Economics and is a Fellow member (FCCA) of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the UK and of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus.
Before joining Nexia Poyiadjis, Athos served as an Audit & Assurance Partner at Deloitte Limited in Nicosia. With over 33 years in the Audit profession, he has showcased expertise in conducting audits for listed and private companies across diverse industries, including technology, construction, Hotel & Leisure, oil extraction, gaming, and automotive. He has a successful track record of leading audits for consolidation assignments involving both small and large Groups.
Athos serves as the Chief Confidentiality Officer and Privacy Officer of Nexia Poyiadjis. He has participated in various committees of the ICPAC including the International Business Shipping and Foreign, Educational, and Financial Crime Committee. He has also served as the Chairman of the Educational Committee for two years. Currently he actively engages within the professional community.
