New Executive Director of Nexia International

Nexia International appoints new Executive Director

Nexia International has appointed Kevin Arnold as its new Executive Director. Arnold succeeds Nigel Hodges, who will be retiring after nearly two decades in the role.

Arnold has a proven track record as Executive Director of DFK International, where he led the development of the association’s strategy aimed at growing member firms, referrals and fee income.

Nexia International Chairman Norbert Neu said, “we are delighted to welcome Kevin to Nexia International and look forward to working with him as we continue to build on our position as a leading network of independent accounting and consulting firms advising international mid-market companies and delivering consistent quality of service and local expertise on a global basis”.

Nexia aims to enhance its existing profile in key global economic centres and to expand its global presence by continuing to seek high quality member firms with a strong identity in their local markets. It is currently ranked as the 10th largest international accounting network, with more than 18,000 staff across 520 offices in over 100 countries.

Neu paid tribute to outgoing Executive Director Nigel Hodges who has assisted with the growth of Nexia International from a turnover of US$280m at its inception in 1991 to US$2.2bn following its successful merger with the former SC International. Hodges was a Nexia Council Member and Deputy Chairman of the Middle East region of Spicer and Oppenheim prior to taking up his post with Nexia International.

“On behalf of the Nexia Board I would like to thank Nigel for his outstanding contribution to the growth of Nexia International and his expert stewardship of the network over his tenure,” said Neu.

Hodges will continue as a consultant to the Nexia Board and in the short-term work closely with Arnold to ensure a smooth transition. He said: “We have come a long way in the last 18 years at Nexia and I wish Kevin and everyone around the network every success for the future. Having both previously served in the British Armed Forces, Kevin and I have much in common and I am happy to entrust the next phase of Nexia’s development to him. I’m sure it will be in safe hands”.
